Thurles Chamber Annual Dinner

Thurles Chamber Annual Dinner will take place this year on 10th December, 2009 at 6.15p.m. in the Anner Hotel, Dublin Road, Thurles. Graduation at St. Patrick's College, Thurles

Fr. Thomas Fogarty, President of St. Patrick's College presented forty graduates with their parchment scrolls at the graduation ceremony recently. Ten Bachelor of Arts (Theology) Degrees were conferred, while thirty Bachelor of Arts(Honours) in education, Business Studies and Religious Studies were awarded to the newly qualified post primary teachers.

THE TIPPERARY VENUE

Thurles native, businessman,and great ambassador for Thurles, Richard Quirke, recently launched what is hailed to be the creation of the most exciting and sophisticated destination Ireland has even seen.

Located in Two Mile Borris on the Dublin Limerick M7, this development which is situated on 800 acres will create long term sustainable employment for the area. To the left lies, the magnificent building that is the Hoban Memorial. To the west, your eye will take you to the five star HOTEL and CASINO designed with a remarkable level of architectural innovation. A walkway will facilitate access to a luxury SHOPPING MALL featuring a selection of high end retail outlets showcasing the finest couture that Ireland has to offer together with fine restaurants. To the east of the Mall lies the VENUE, a state-of-the-art music, sporting cultural and conference centre that will showcase some of the world's greatest events. Tipperary Institute celebrates Science Week 2009

As part of a nationwide week of events marking Science Week 2009 from 8th to 15th November, Tipperary Institute will host a number of workshops on the 'Science behind computer games' throughout the week.

Over 250 students will take part in Tipperary Institute's workshops throughout Science Week, where they will be inspired to become the next computer games designers!
